Jenny Buddenborg is leading the revitalization of Leadville's Tabor Opera House as president of the Tabor Opera House Preservation Foundation. With a team of dedicated volunteers and a small but mighty staff, the non-profit organization is partnering with the City of Leadville to turn the Tabor Opera house into Leadville's hub of arts, culture and history. Jenny's day job is as a senior city planner at the City and County of Denver where she balances preservation and development in one of the country’s fastest growing cities. She spent more than a decade as a preservation advocate with the National Trust for Historic Preservation where she helped communities across the Intermountain West protect and celebrate their historic assets. That work included leading advocacy campaigns to save nationally significant, threatened places like Leadville's Tabor Opera House—a National Treasure. Jenny holds a B.A. in History from Wayne State University and an M.A. in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University.
