About this Speaker

Dante Knapp is the Principal Geoarchaeologist for Metcalf Archaeological Consultants, Inc. Dante holds a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in applied anthropology from Oregon State University with specializations in prehistoric archaeology, geosciences, and cultural resource management. He has more than 10 years of geoarchaeological and archaeological experience working in the Western and Central United States as well as Baja California, Mexico.

At Metcalf, Dante manages all phases of geoarchaeological project needs, from fieldwork to reporting, while also providing general archaeological project support. In addition, he possesses a deep interest in leveraging emerging technologies and has co-developed innovative approaches within the applications of traditional cultural resource management and public outreach.
